The Third Position of the Major Pentatonic Scale
Continuing in the key of G major we will now play the third position or mode of the G major pentatonic scale. The third note in the scale of G major pentatonic is B, so we will begin this third mode on the B at the 6th string, 7th fret. Notice how it directly ties to the second position we played earlier.
